Bilka and Nylon Hoisery
Companies are founded by Mois Kario and Yasef Kario in 1952.
Kario brothers have operated in the
hosiery field for long years under the name of Bilka and Nylon
Hosiery companies.
Kario brothers merged their companies
under the name of ''Öğretmen Çorap'' in 1970. After this date
Mois Kario retired and left the professional business life.
The first investment for the millions
of pairs of stockings that are now sold in the market as ''Penti''is
made in İstanbul Bayrampaşa.
The plant that is established in Çorlu
in 1994 continues its operations by closely following up the
latest technological developments. The production capacity
per year was approximately 2,000,000 dozens of pairs.
Today, Öğretmen Çorap manufactures 4.500.000
dozens of pairs of ladies hosiery in its manufacturing facility
established over 25,000 sqm covered total 40.000 square meters
field.
65 % - 70% of the products manufactured
is exported to U.S.A, Turkish republics and European countries.
Penti, in its İstanbul headquarter with a young and dynamique
marketing team, aims to convert women hosiery concept from
a necessity to an accessory and composes 2 seasons of fashion
hosiery following world's trends. Nowadays women integrate
this to their style and prefer Penti's fashion products as
well as classic and functional hosiery.
